WALKING
Crieff
is the ideal base for any walking holiday. Straddling the
Highland Boundary Line, it enjoys the best of Scotland's upland
and lowland scenery. Rugged and rocky Highland mountains rub
shoulders with rolling Lowland hills, carved and shaped by
the majestic River Earn and its tributaries.
Crieff itself has eight walks that form part of an extensive
paths network for walkers, cyclists and horse riders. Ranging
from 1 to 8 miles long and covering a wide variety of terrain,
the walks embrace some of Strathearn's finest scenery. You
can link walks together or even invent your own, what ever
you choose you are sure to enjoy the wildlife, fresh air and
beautiful views Crieff has to offer.
There are also many Munro's very accessible from Crieff for
the more committed walker.
We have drying facilities for our guests just in case you
catch the wrong type of weather.
Crieff
also has its own Drovers Tryst Walking Festival which takes
place annually in October. See www.droverstryst.co.uk
for more details.
