Strathearn Marathon
The Strathearn Marathon, held in beautiful Perthshire, is a new marathon in one of the best areas of Scotland for running. The race is organised by Strathearn Harriers, a club with an established record of running popular races such as the very successful Crieff 10k and the Simon Wake Comrie Hills Relay. We hope the race will become established as one of the friendliest Scottish marathons.

The first running of the Strathearn Marathon will take place on Sunday 10th June 2012, starting at 9.00am. The route follows predominantly quiet B roads in Strathearn, starting and finishing at the Cultybraggan Camp just outside Comrie, with about 1500 feet of ascent to present a stiff challenge to experienced runners.

Drovers Tryst Walking Festival

Crieff & Strathearn Drovers' Tryst annually celebrates the life, work and play of the people who made Crieff the cattle-droving crossroads of Scotland in the 1700s. The modern day Tryst is run by volunteers and built around a programme of guided walks in the stunning scenery and autumn colours of Strathearn & surrounding areas of Perthshire. The walks vary in difficulty but all are enriched by wildlife, plants, trees, history and the company of like-minded people.

Complementing the walks is a series of enjoyable evening social events, with music, drama, film and dancing! The Tryst also embraces two mountain bike events, and there is great food and drink to be enjoyed in local restaurants and cafes, a wide choice of places to stay and many other interesting attractions. And a photography competition too!
